Pathovio prepares immigration petition documents, which means you hand us a great deal of information about yourself. This page says what we collect, what we do with it, who else sees it, how long we keep it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.
This page describes our handling of your information. It is not legal advice, and Pathovio is a document preparation service rather than a law firm.
Who we are
Pathovio is a document preparation service operated by MTX Global, a company based in Henderson, Nevada, United States. We prepare draft documents from the information you give us. We do not advise on your case and we do not represent you before USCIS.
Where this page says "we", it means MTX Global operating the Pathovio service.
What we collect
Everything below is information you give us directly, except for the technical data in the last item.
- Account details — your name, your email address, and your password, which is stored only as a cryptographic hash and cannot be read back by us.
- Questionnaire answers — everything you enter into the intake form: biographical details, education, employment history, publications and citations, awards, memberships, and whatever else the questionnaire for your case type asks.
- Documents you upload — your CV, publication and citation reports, award, membership, media and funding evidence, and any other file you add to your document checklist. We do not ask for and do not accept identity or status records: passports, diplomas, transcripts, visa and I-94 documents and employment verification letters stay with you, and you attach them yourself when you file.
- Payment records — the identifier of your Stripe checkout session, the amount, the currency, and the date it settled. Card numbers do not reach us; see "Who else sees it" below.
- Correspondence — messages you exchange with us about your case, and the record of what happened to it and when.
- Consent records — the date, time and IP address at which you accepted our service disclaimer.
- Technical data — ordinary web server logs, and aggregate analytics on our public pages.
What we do with it
We use your information to prepare the documents you have asked us to prepare, to run your account, to take payment, and to answer you when you contact us. That is the whole list.
Preparing the package is our work: deciding what your record supports, structuring it against the legal standard your case is judged by, drafting it, indexing the exhibits, formatting it as a filing package, and checking it before it reaches you. The tools and services behind that are ours to choose and are listed in the next section.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not use what you tell us about your case to market anything to you or to anyone else.
Who else sees it
Running this service involves companies we do not operate ourselves — for payments, for email, for hosting, and for the AI infrastructure behind our drafting. Each receives only what it needs for its own part, none of them prepares your petition, and none of them is a party to your case.
- Anthropic — provides the AI infrastructure we use to prepare draft text. It receives the information from your file that is needed to produce that draft — your questionnaire answers, and any document you ask us to read automatically — and returns the result to us. Its terms and privacy documentation are published at anthropic.com.
- Stripe — our payment processor. You enter your card details on a page hosted by Stripe, not by us, so card numbers never pass through or rest on our servers. Stripe tells us that a payment succeeded, for how much, and in what currency.
- Mailgun — delivers the email we send you. It handles your email address and the contents of those messages.
- Google Analytics — reports aggregate usage of our public marketing pages. It runs only on those pages and is not connected to your case file, your answers, or your documents.
- Our hosting provider — operates the servers your account and documents sit on.
- Anyone the law requires — we will disclose information where a valid legal obligation requires it of us.
Where it is processed
Our systems and the services listed above operate in the United States. If you are applying from outside the United States, using Pathovio means your information is transferred to and processed there, under United States law rather than the law where you live.
How long we keep it
We keep your case and everything in it for 24 months after your package is delivered, or after the case is otherwise closed. At the end of that period we delete it: your answers, the documents you uploaded, the drafts we wrote for you, and the case itself.
Twenty-four months because immigration matters run long. A request for evidence can arrive many months after filing, an appeal can run longer still, and the file we prepared is the thing you would want back. Keeping it indefinitely is a different problem, so the period has an end.
About 30 days before a case is due to be deleted we email you at the address on your account, so that you can download your package first if there is any chance you will still need it. Once it is deleted we cannot recover it.
A case that nobody has touched for 12 months is treated as closed, and we tell you when that happens — the 24 months then run from there. Without that rule a case left part-finished would sit here indefinitely, which is the thing this section exists to rule out.
Some things go sooner. If you delete a case yourself it disappears from your account immediately and we erase it permanently 30 days later; the gap is there so that we can put it back if you change your mind or deleted it by accident, and you only have to ask. A document you remove from your own checklist has no such gap — it is deleted outright, together with the stored file. And a case that was started but never paid for is deleted after 90 days, if nothing was ever entered into it.
Two things sit outside all of this. You can ask us to erase your information sooner — at any time, for any reason, and we will. And where the law requires us to keep a particular record for longer, we keep that record for as long as it requires and nothing else alongside it.
In practice that means our payment records, which we keep for 7 years to meet United States tax and accounting requirements. Such a record holds what was paid, when, in what currency, the billing name and email, and the reference number of the case it paid for. It does not hold your answers, your documents or your drafts — those are deleted on the schedule above, whether or not the payment record outlives them.
Your rights
You have the rights below over the information we hold about you. We extend them to everyone who uses Pathovio, wherever in the world you are applying from and wherever you live — they do not depend on your country granting them to you.
- Access — to be told what we hold about you, and why.
- A copy — to receive that information in a portable form you can take elsewhere.
- Rectification — to have anything wrong corrected. While your questionnaire is still open you can edit your answers yourself; once your case has been handed over for review, ask us and we will change it.
- Erasure — to have your information deleted and your account closed. If a case is in progress this ends it, since we cannot continue preparing documents without the information they are built from.
- Restriction — to have us stop processing your information while a question about it is being settled, without deleting it.
- Objection — to tell us to stop a particular use of your information, and to have us either stop or explain why we cannot.
- Withdrawal of consent — to withdraw your agreement to our processing, which in practice has the same effect as erasure.
Write to :email to exercise any of these. We will act within 30 days, and tell you if something prevents us from doing so. Exercising a right costs nothing and we will not treat you differently for it.
Security
Your documents are not publicly addressable. They are served only to you and to the staff working on your case, over an encrypted connection, and access is limited to the people who need it. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than as passwords.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim ours is. What we can say is that we do not keep information we have no use for, and that we do not put your documents anywhere they can be reached without signing in.
Children
Pathovio is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
The language of this policy
We publish this policy in English and in Turkish. The English version is the authoritative one: the Turkish version is provided for convenience, and where the two differ, the English text governs.
Changes to this page
If we change how we handle your information, we will change this page and move the date at the top of it. The date tells you which version you are reading.
